OC Fair 07-31-19

US Open 07-30-19

On Saturday, Suzanne brought her kids Anna and Alex to meet Caren and Cecily at the US Open. The kids enjoyed getting their free Hydro Flask lids, and it was fun catching up. http://link.shutterfly.com/SDkgcBNcH7

Sunday, we met up with Paige and Dawn to go back to the US Open. We colored bags, played games, and headed to Pacific City for a snack. http://link.shutterfly.com/hrfiMoDeH7

Monday morning we went back to the US Open so Cecily could meet up with her new friend, Hollan. More free Hydro Flask lids, more games, and more crafts for a fun day. http://link.shutterfly.com/zC3f7BYeH7

We headed back to our last day at the US Open on Tuesday so Cecily could hang out with her friend Whitney. We got another free Hydro Flask lid and a free hot dog lunch, then played a game and won free Hydro Flasks! http://link.shutterfly.com/a2aBPklfH7

Disney Day 07-23-19

With all the hype of the new Star Wars land at Disneyland, everyone thought it would be super packed over the summer. However, they had an unexpected lull in attendance so they started a promotion to have annual passholders bring their friends with a $99 parkhopper. Caren and Cecily took advantage of this deal and spent a fun Disney Day with Dawn and Paige.

We enjoyed taking pictures, going on rides, seeing characters, etc. Caren and Dawn even enjoyed the Frozen show then a cocktail at Carthay Circle while the girls went off on their own for a bit. We finally headed into Galaxy's Edge after the sun went down as Dawn had warned us there was no shade there. We ended the day with the perfect fireworks viewing spot outside of Small World and a ride on Smugglers Run where Cecily and Paige were pilots while Caren and Dawn were the gunners. "Campland" 07-21-19

This year's annual Campland trip to Mission Bay didn't work out, as the dates were too close to the start of high school. So instead, the Conne's invited everyone over to their house for a "Campland" of our own. Everyone enjoyed a barbecue dinner, and the kids that wanted to could sleep in the tent in the backyard. Day two of "Campland" started off with breakfast, then a baking competition between the kids using strawberries as the main ingredient. More pool volleyball, barbecue leftovers plus El Pollo Loco (which ran out of chicken) & Charo Chicken, and an outdoor movie finished out the day. http://pix.sfly.com/HWXBvt

GS Camp 07-19-19

Cecily and Kaylei spent the week at the Westminster Girl Scout Day Camp. This year's theme was The Great Outdoors. Cecily changed her camp name to Fox and had a Daisy group to work with. Looking forward to next year's Candyland themed camp! http://pix.sfly.com/092f7a

HB, Knott's, & Sunset Beach 07-12-19

The Clarks (minus Doug) came out to visit on Tuesday. They snuck in a quick visit to Knott's while Cecily was in summer school and golf camp. We took them to check out Pacific City in the evening. Wednesday morning, we headed down to the HB Pier so they could grab some shirts at HSS. Then we went to Knott's in the afternoon. http://pix.sfly.com/Bn7pxb

Friday, the kids all wanted to go to the beach. So we spent the morning at Sunset Beach, and then watched the sunset by the pier in Huntington Beach. http://pix.sfly.com/mDmHBy

Soak City & Shopping 07-07-19

Fourth of July 07-04-19

Happy 4th of July! No one wanted to go downtown, so Caren headed down there by herself. She met up with Dawn, and they checked out the staging area and walked the parade route (didn't even feel the earthquake!).
