Dawn's Birthday 09-30-14

Happy 50th Birthday, Dawn! We helped her celebrate with a happy hour dinner and drinks at The Corner. Conrad made our moms night out birthday celebration even better by picking up the tab!

Soccer & Pasadena 09-27-14

The Tsunami Strikers played the Space Unicorns, who were the second place team. They gave our team a run for our money, but our team came on stronger in the second half. Towards the end of the game, there was a penalty kick called, and our coach told Cecily to go score a goal. Cecily looked pained to go take the kick, but she was dependable with her kick and scored a great goal. It was her second goal ever, and she was so excited. Whooooo scored a goal?? Cecily got a mini Opal Beanie Boo to go with her large Opal she got when she scored her first goal last year. Girl Scouts 09-24-14

Cotillion 09-23-14

Cecily had her first night of 5th grade Cotillion at Seacliff Country Club. Since we are now at the later time, it was too late to go out for dinner afterwards. Soccer Game 09-20-14

The Tsunami Strikers played the Blue Wave Crashers this morning. Kate and Ava's team held up a strong defense the first half keeping the score 0-0. But after the half, our team came alive and scored four goals to win the game. That night, we had our first team party at Lamppost Pizza. Fifth Grade 09-18-14

Cecily really wanted to wear Caren's 5th Grade shirt when she went to school to sign her 5th grade shirt.

Katy Perry 09-16-14

Caren and her friend Shari decided last minute to take the girls to the Katy Perry concert, so they bought tickets at 1:30 pm for that evenings 7:00 pm show. They got to the Honda Center and grabbed pizza for dinner while the first opening act, Ferras, performed. They bought Cecily and Scarlett t-shirts and bracelets before watching Tegan and Sara (Everything is Awesome!). Katy Perry was so fun, and we had a fabulous time at the concert. Disney Castle 09-14-14

Soccer & Bonfire 09-13-14

Cecily had her second soccer game against the California Grizzlies, which also happens to be her friend and classmate Elizabeth's team. After her long night at One Direction, she was tired but still played really well. Cecily did such a good job defending the goal that the other team wasn't able to score any goals! We ended up winning 9-0, with Cecily having two assists which she was very proud of. Also on the California Grizzlies was her friend Felicia, who was also on the HB Galaxy club team with her. One Direction 09-12-14

Cecily was invited last minute to go to the One Direction concert at the Rose Bowl. She was so excited to get checked out of school early and go with her new friends Emma, Hailey, Kayden, Taylor, and Mia. The girls enjoyed the KIIS FM picnic in the park in the afternoon before hearing 5 Seconds of Summer and One Direction. Din Tai Fung 09-10-14

We have been waiting for the Din Tai Fung to open at South Coast Plaza. So we headed over there after school to grab a late lunch/early dinner, depending on how long the crazy wait would be. Taylor's Birthday Party 09-07-14

Happy 8th Birthday to Taylor! We celebrated at her mermaid themed pool party. Cecily had fun swimming and taking underwater pictures of the other girls. First Soccer Game 09-06-14

Even though Cecily tried out for and made the AYSO U11 Extra team, she decided to play regular U12 AYSO instead. Her team, the Tsunami Strikers, had their first game of the season today against the Highlighters. It was a great game that our team won 3-1. Fifth Grade 09-03-14

Today was the first day of fifth grade. Cecily's favorite color was orange, so her outfit for school and her new backpack were orange. This year, she had two teachers, Mrs. Severin and Mrs. Van Holt, who also happen to be the GATE teachers. After school, we had our annual picnic at the playground before we headed over to Chuck E. Beach Fun 09-01-14
