Discovery Science Center 05-30-07

Cecily and Caren went to the Discovery Science Center again with their playgroup. This time, they got to see the new Pirate exhibit along with the Elmo and Dinosaur exhibits from their last trip. Cecily had fun exploring the museum with Kayla, Ted, and Isobel.

We took our annual family beach pictures in Sunset Beach.

Palm Springs Moms Weekend 05-20-07

While Cecily was having a fun weekend with Daddy, Caren was away with the other moms in Palm Springs. They stayed at the Desert Springs Marriott, where they lounged by the pool and enjoyed yummy dinners and drinks without kids to take care of. It was fun and relaxing.

Daddy's Weekend 05-18-07

Daddy got Cecily all to himself this weekend. We started off on Friday with a trip to Cecily's favorite park (Peter Green) and then we saw Shrek the Third.



On Saturday, we had lunch at Chuck E. Cheese's, where we ran into Cecily's friend Ted and his daddy. Then in the afternoon we scootered to the beach and collected sea shells. On the way back home we stopped by the park to play.







On Sunday, we spent the day in Seal Beach. Daddy got to have his favorite Philly Cheesesteak sandwich without having to share, yummy. Cecily then had fun at the playground by the pier. And of course, we had to get Coldstone ice cream. After walking along Main Street browsing the shops, we headed home to await the return of mommy from her weekend in Palm Springs.

Happy Mother's Day 05-13-07

Happy Mother's Day!

***We spent Caren's 4th Mother's Day at Disneyland and California Adventure. Cecily enjoyed riding It's A Small World before going to Toon Town and riding her FIRST roller coaster! She said it was scary, but she seemed to do ok, and later wanted to ride the big roller coaster at California Adventure! (But she is too short for that one!) She played in Minnie and Mickey's house where she got to show Mickey her new blue bouncing ball. She loved watching the Princess show at the Princess Fantasy Faire where she ate a Bratwurst and colored an elephant blue.

***Then we headed over to California Adventure to watch the Aladdin show and have a quick lunch at the Cove Bar. It is located directly above Ariel's Grotto, so we got to watch the California Screamin' coaster run. Richard and Caren enjoyed the lobster nachos and some yummy alcoholic beverages. After lunch, we all rode King Triton's Carousel before going to get ice cream in the longest line we waited in all day. When we finished our ice cream (after Cecily enjoyed watching the High School Musical Pep Rally), we went to the Animation building where Cecily loved running around and she also got to play Duck Duck Goose with Cinderella, Mickey, and Woody. We ended the day by watching the Block Party Bash parade.

Mandarin Playgroup 05-10-07

Cecily had fun seeing her Chinese class friends again for a quick review of their Mandarin.

She had a yummy snack of quesadillas and watermelon with Valerie, Michelle, Devyn, Laina, Christopher, and Andrew.

Kidspace Museum 05-08-07

Cecily went to the Kidspace Museum in Pasadena with Caren and Grandma Shirley. She had fun checking out all the stuff there, but her favorite activity was the painting.

Fullerton Railroad Day 05-05-07

Cecily's been working on the railroad. Richard, Caren, and Cecily went to the Fullerton Railroad Day at the Fullerton train station. They got to see lots of different sized model trains, including a Lego model with Thomas trains.

Hearst Castle 04-30-07

Richard, Cecily, and Caren visited Hearst Castle on their way home from Carmel. Unfortunately, Cecily got carsick and threw up in the car coming down the 1, so we missed our reservation time. But we were able to go on a later tour, and Cecily had a good time touring the big castle. Then we stopped in Santa Barbara to enjoy a yummy lobster dinner before heading home.

Monterey Bay Aquarium 04-29-07

Richard, Cecily, and Caren spent the day at the Monterey Bay Aquarium with Grandpa Otto and Grandam Lynn. Cecily had so much fun seeing all the fish.

Jill's Wedding 04-28-07

Cecily, Caren, and Richard attended Richard's cousin Jill's wedding in Carmel. The wedding was at a Catholic church in Carmel Valley with the reception following at the Carmel Ranch Club. Cecily behaved really well during the ceremony and enjoyed yummy chicken pastries and cherries at the reception.
