US Open 07-31-17

Legoland 07-30-17

It was time to head down to Legoland for our annual Ambassador Model Building Session. This year, we made ornaments for Sealife Aquarium. Richard made a starfish, Cecily made a pineapple, and Caren made the Hungtington Beach pier (with some help from Richard). Laguna 07-29-17

Richard had to take a coach class at Laguna Hills High School, so we dropped him off and spent the day in Laguna. First, we headed to Laguna Beach and checked out the tide pools there. Girl Scout Day Camp 07-28-17

This week was Girl Scout Day Camp in Westminster, with the theme being Destination Exploration. Every day was a new country: Monday was Scotland, Tuesday was Africa, Wednesday was the Caribbean, Thursday was Australia, and Friday was Japan. This year, the day camp posted pictures on Facebook, so it was fun to see all the activities the girls were doing each day. Cecily's camp name was Pineapple, so we took advantage to paint pineapples on her nails and use a pineapple lunch bag. http://pix.sfly.com/RJdozK

Dessert 07-23-17

We tried a new Irish restaurant for dinner, then a new dessert place called Birthdae. Caren got a special double cup drink with tea and boba, Cecily got a scoop of cookie dough, and Richard tried their cookie dough ice cream sandwich. http://pix.sfly.com/-YDcbY

Volleyball Camp 07-21-17

Cecily and Ava did a week of Junior Spikers Volleyball Camp at the beach. Cecily was a little nervous going in, as she had not played before. But she ended up loving Volleyball. Hopefully she will do the camp again next summer. http://pix.sfly.com/JgE2G2

OC Fair 07-14-17

Caren and Cecily took their annual trip to the OC Fair today. They checked out the crazy food and cute animals. We were sad to miss the pig races, but it was hot and we did not want to stay long. Knott's 07-12-17

This morning, we took advantage of early entrance for passholders and went to check out Camp Snoopy at Knott's. It was so nice to be able to just walk onto the rides. Summer Fun 07-11-17

We were invited over to Emily's house for lunch and some water fun. Cecily got a paddleboard for Christmas, and she took it out on the water for the first time today. The kids had fun paddling on their boards and kayaks, and afterwards we took a little ride around the harbour in the Duffy. Michelle's 40th Birthday 07-08-17

Happy 40th Birthday to Michelle! We helped her celebrate at her turquoise themed dinner party. We got there early to swim and help set up. Caren found a sparkling wine called Michelle and one that was blue! It was a fun night, and we ended the evening with sparklers like we used to do in high school. Happy 4th of July! We started the day with the annual Huntington Beach 4th of July Parade. Larry reserved a great spot like he usually does, and we got to watch our neighbor Sophia walk with her gymnastics school.
