Legoland 03-28-09

We hadn't been to Legoland in a while, so we headed down there for the afternoon. We started off at the Sealife Aquarium to see the fish and touch the starfish before heading into Legoland. Cecily enjoyed her usual blue cotton candy ice cream cone. We were only there for a few hours, but it was a nice, relaxing afternoon.

Cousins 03-22-09

Uncle Doug, Aunt Christina, Emily, Hayden, and Austin came out to California to visit us this weekend. They started off staying at the Paradise Pier Hotel and spent a day at Disneyland and California Adventure on Friday. Then they spent the afternoon on Saturday in downtown Huntington Beach while we were at Jesse's birthday party. Cecily loved having her cousins over to play. She and Emily had a "slumber party" in her own room. We all went to lunch at Wahoo's on Sunday (and almost got blown away by the crazy wind!). They were our first overnight guests in our new home. We can't wait for them to come back out and visit again!

Jesse's Birthday Party 03-21-09

Cecily went to Jesse's 5th birthday party at Atlantis Park today. The kids enjoyed playing on the various equipment including the big dragon slide. They saw a chicken and went searching for bunnies. Another birthday party there had Jack Sparrow and live parrots. After eating pizza, they sang happy birthday to Jesse and had ice cream and cake.

Playgroup St. Patrick's Party 03-18-09

Happy St. Patrick's Day! The kids wore green and had a fun playgroup potluck at Trish's house, our authentic Irish home. Kimberly made her yummy corned beef pasta dish that she makes every year, and Brandy baked delicious green cupcakes.

Laira's Birthday Party 03-14-09

Cecily's best friend Laira had her 5th birthday party today at Chuck E. Cheese. They had so much fun running around, playing games, and riding the rides. They enjoyed some pizza and cupcakes as well. Cecily says she now wants her 6th birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. We'll see if she still remembers in a year.

Paige's Birthday Party 03-07-09

Cecily attended a Princess Birthday Party for Paige, a friend from pre-school. Paige turned 4 and had a princess bouncer at a park. The girls all dressed up in princess attire and had fun running around at the playground, jumping in the bounce house, and hitting the pinata.

Playgroup Pictures 03-04-09

We attempted a professional picture at the Picture People. The kids actually did really well. We ended up getting a picture for us all to share as well as a picture to give to the kids' friend John who moved to Philadelphia. Here's a quick shot taken with one of our own cameras of Bronson, Ted, Kayla, Cecily, Isobel, and Paige.

Disney Day 03-03-09

Caren and Cecily enjoyed an afternoon of rides and shows at California Adventure and Disneyland on the last day of their annual pass. They rode Soarin' Over California, Heimlich's Chew Chew Train, Monsters Inc., Buzz Lightyear, Small World, and King Arthur's Carousel. At California Adventure they watched the Pixar Play Parade, and at Disneyland they watched Fantasmic. Cecily can't wait to go again on her birthday!

Cecily had a playdate with her friend Laira from school. They had a fun birthday party with the Disney princesses.
