The poor Black Widows got squished this week by the HB Galaxy 1-5. Actually, they really only got creamed by one player, Jasmine, who was offense, defense, and their goal scorer. MV Conference Week & Halloween Party 10-30-15

Caren took on the Hospitality position at the Marine View PTSA, and this week she provided meals for the teachers during conference week - breakfast and lunch everyday as well as dinner on Monday night. Friday night, we went to a fun Halloween party at the Weaver's house. Cecily dressed up as a mouse, Caren was Maleficent, and Richard wore his Superman shirt. Cotillion 10-28-15

Soccer & Pumpkins 10-24-15

This morning, the undefeated Black Widows played the undefeated She Hulks. It was a great game, and they ended up with a tie of 3 to 3. Great job, Black Widows! After the game, Caren took Cecily to Trader Joes to their annual pumpkin carving. Cambria's Birthday 10-23-15

Girl Scouts Bold Girlz 10-19-15

Cecily's Girl Scout troop took a field trip to Bold Girlz at Bella Terra for an etiquette lesson. Kayden joined us as well, since she wanted to do some older Girl Scout activities. The girls learned how to sit and walk, introductions, table setting, eating, and some cell phone etiquette. Soccer Game & Legoland 10-17-15

The Black Widows played the HB Dry Ice, which was Presley and Presley's team. It was a great game, with the Widows dominating with so many shots on goal. Girl Scouts 10-12-15

We had our first Girl Scout Cadette meeting today. We discussed the upcoming year, and the girls started on earning their Tree Badge by baking apple tarts. CHOC Walk 10-11-15

Caren and Cecily participated in the 25th annual CHOC Walk at Disneyland this morning. When they left the house at 5 in the morning, it was already 73 degrees. They enjoyed walking through Disneyland and California Adventure to help support CHOC. Afterwards, they tried to grab clam chowder bread bowls at La Brea Bakery, but the wait was too long. Soccer Game 10-10-15

In this crazy heat wave, luckily our game was changed from 1:30 pm to 10:30 am. We played Ava and Felicia's team, the Brat Attack. Their team came on strong in the first quarter, scoring the first goal. St. Bonaventure Fall Festival 10-09-15

Cecily was invited to go to the St. Bonaventure Fall Fair with Katelyn. Katelyn's mom, Diane, took them with Scarlett, Taylor G., and Kelly, and they met up with some other girls to go on the rides and play the games. Lego Build 10-07-15

Audrey's Baby Shower 10-04-15

Congratulations, Audrey! Caren had fun at her baby shower celebrating the upcoming arrival of baby Natalie. They played four games: water/ice breaking baby, drinking apple juice from baby bottles, measuring Audrey's belly, and guessing the baby food. The shower was at Jane's amazing home on the water in Huntington Harbour. Soccer Game 10-03-15

Our team played the Riptides today, and the girls all seemed super sluggish on the field. Alaina came on strong and scored a beautiful goal for the Black Widows in the first quarter. School & Friends 10-02-15

Thursday night, we had Back to School Night at Marine View. The kids had a short day, so Caren took Cecily and her new friend Kelly to Chili's for lunch. In the evening, we dropped Cecily off at soccer practice then headed to Marine View. We got to see all of Cecily's classes and teachers. 10-01-15 Friday after school, Cecily and her friends were going to walk to our house. But since they had just run the mile and it was hot, Caren brought them home instead. They did walk over to get their Friday treat at Rita's.
