Cookie Booth 02-28-15

Although the forecast called for rain, it was an almost sunny day. Our troop had the opportunity to have a cookie booth sale during Opening Day of Little League. While the Girl Scout sisters of baseball players were over at the field selling, Cecily and some of the other girls in our troop were selling at Vons. It ended up being slower than it was there on Wednesday, so Cecily sat outside on the corner and sold more cookies. Only one more week of cookie sales! http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8UbNGrdw3Vz6Q

Cotillion 02-24-15

Tonight was our first night back at Cotillion since the holiday Cotillion in December. The dress Caren wanted Cecily to wear was too tight. Can't believe how fast she is growing. So Cecily decided to wear the same dress she wore for the holiday Cotillion. We took Sophia to Seacliff Country Club with us. Afterwards, we met Regan, Alexsia, and Nicolette for ice cream at Baskin Robbins. http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8UbNGrdw3Vzyw

Cookie Booth & Family 02-21-15

We started off our morning selling cookies at our Girl Scout cookie booth at Ralphs. People were eager to buy Thin Mints as Caren was unloading her car to set up. The girls got a little antsy when there weren't very many customers coming and going, but Ms. Julie our school nurse stopped by and bought some cookies. http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8UbNGrdw3VzrQ
After we went home and ate lunch, we headed up to San Gabriel to celebrate Chinese New Year with Caren's family. We stopped by Oh My Pan for some yummy pastries and drinks first. Cecily had so much fun playing with Brendan and Quinn. Then we enjoyed a delicious dinner that Grandma cooked. Of course the kids loved getting their red envelopes. Happy New Year of the Sheep! http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8UbNGrdw3VzvA

Chinese New Year 02-19-15

Happy Chinese New Year! As we enter into the Year of the Sheep, it is crazy to think that 12 years will have gone by before we celebrate Cecily's Year of the Monkey next year! http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8UbNGrdw3Vzng

Girl Scouts 02-18-15

At our Girl Scout meeting today, the girls met with Mrs. O to go over their Bronze Award. They discussed details including dates and morning announcements. After our meeting, a few of the girls had a booth sale at the Huntington Harbour Mall. Cecily and Caren helped to set up the cookies for them before heading home to enjoy our Chinese New Year's Eve hot pot dinner. http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8UbNGrdw3Vzjw

Danielle's Birthday Party 02-15-15

Happy 11th Birthday, Danielle! We helped her celebrate at her laser tag party at the park. We enjoyed some yummy doughnuts and bagels for breakfast before the kids played laser tag. For some reason, Cecily did not want to play, so she hung out with the adults. The other kids had a blast. http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8UbNGrdw3VzYQ

Valentine's Day 02-14-15

Happy Valentine's Day! Can't believe our very first date was 15 years ago! Cecily had another cookie booth out on the corner to sell Girl Scout cookies for Valentine's Day. She also finally bought the electric scooter she had been wanting with her Christmas money after Caren found it on super clearance at Target. But since it was pink, we had to paint it orange for her. She LOVES her new scooter! http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8UbNGrdw3VzUg

School Valentine & Cookie Booth 02-13-15

Cecily's class had their Valentine exchange in the afternoon right before school got out. The kids had fun exchanging Valentines and eating cupcakes. Cecily loved her homemade hippo Valentine box. http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8UbNGrdw3VzJQ
After school, we headed over to Chase Bank for our first Girl Scout Cookie Booth of the season. Since it was the day before Valentine's Day, Caren printed out Girl Scout cookie themed Valentines that customers could take with their cookie purchases. The girls did amazing and sold over 100 boxes of cookies! http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8UbNGrdw3VzQw

Saturday Fun 02-07-15

Thursday was our first soccer practice of the spring season. It was like a mini reunion with half the girls from her fall team, and the other half from teams that she had played with previously. We only don't know one girl, but she was not at practice. Saturday morning, we started off with a Valentine box build at Home Depot with Alexsia. Then we went to Tokyo Central with Sam and her kids to decorate Pocky sticks and shop. Afterwards, Caren dropped Cecily off with Alexsia. They went to hang out at Bella Terra, watch the new SpongeBob movie, and have dinner at Islands. Cecily had wanted to spend the night, but she just couldn't do it. We've decided that since most sleepovers are about staying up late and Cecily doesn't like to stay up late, she is not a fan of sleepovers. http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8UbNGrdw3VzBw

Cookies & Superbowl 02-01-15

Cecily worked hard this weekend to sell her Girl Scout cookies. We went downtown to sell to people on Paige's street as well as people at the HB Marathon. We even set up our little booth on the corner of our street before heading in to watch the Superbowl with Richard. http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8UbNGrdw3Vy-Q
