Phoenix 02-20-09 to 02-23-09
We had a great weekend in Phoenix visiting Richard's family. Cecily really enjoyed playing with all 3 of her cousins. They took turns riding Emily's new scooter, had lunch at the new In-N-Out, did lots of coloring, and even got their hair cut together. Cecily was so happy that she was able to help Emily celebrate her 6th birthday party by going to her Birthday Pajama Party. Now she hopes that they can make it out for her birthday party in April.

Emily's Birthday Party 02-20-09
We came out to Phoenix to visit Richard's family for the weekend. Tonight, we helped Emily celebrate her 6th birthday at her Pajama Party. There were 18 girls including Emily, Cecily, Emily's kindergarten friends, and Emily's Daisy Scout friends. Cecily had so much fun with Emily. Hayden, and Austin in the afternoon. When the guests arrived, all the girls overwhelmed Cecily, and she hid under the play slide. When she got more comfortable with all the girls, she came out and played with them. The girls ate pizza and cupcakes, did some crafts, and watched Barbie Diamond Princess. Emily had a fabulous birthday party!

Disney Day 02-18-09
Since our annual passes are expiring soon, Caren and Cecily are trying to go to Disneyland at least once a week. Today, they met their friends at California Adventure after school. The kids had a blast going on Monsters Inc., Heimlich's Chew Chew Train, Flik's Flyers, and Small World. The kids all got along so well and behaved great. They all enjoyed some ice cream before Cheryl and Trish headed home. Caren, Cecily, Brandy, Tomi, and Jack rode Pirates before they also headed home.

Disney Day 02-13-09
Happy Birthday to Uncle Doug!
Since Cecily had no school today because of the President's Day holiday, we took a quick trip to Disneyland. Tomi also had no school, so Brandy brought her and Jack to meet us. We knew it would rain, but it was dry most of the morning. The kids had a great time even when it did start raining.

Playgroup Valentine Party 02-11-09
We had our annual Playgroup Valentine Party today at Brandy's house. The kids ate hot dogs and heart shaped cupcakes that Caren baked before decorating their own bags to collect their Valentines in. After the others went home, Caren and Cecily stayed to hang out with Brandy and Tomi. Then they had a fun girls night out dinner at Fuddruckers. Birthday Party 02-08-09
We celebrated Isobel's 3rd and Ted's 5th birthday with a fun Hello Kitty/Spiderman party at Peter Green Park. We had some iffy weather because it had rained the days before. The kids enjoyed being out of the house and running around on the playground. It rained for like two minutes, so the kids used that time to decorate their own bags to use for the pinata. When the rain stopped, they were prepared and had the kids wipe down the play equipment with towels. The kids ate yummy pizza and cupcakes. Then they had a blast hitting the birthday cake pinata and collecting the goodies from inside.

Disney Day 02-06-09
We enjoyed our first real rainy day at Disneyland today. We bundled up and took Cecily after school. We rode Monsters Inc., King Triton's Carousel, Winnie the Pooh, and Small World. It was the first day that Small World had opened with the new additional Disney characters. Cecily spotted them in the ride so quick! She was so excited to finally get to ride it again.
