US Open of Surfing 07-30-14

Painting Paris 07-29-14

Since Cecily loved painting at Timree so much, we booked another class to paint Paris and invited Paige to go too. This painting was a little more intricate, but they turned out so nice. Beach & Circus 07-27-14

Cecily enjoyed playing in the water in Sunset Beach on Friday. Saturday morning we had breakfast at Harbour House Cafe with Grandma Lynn and Grandpa Otto. While we were there, we ran into Beth and Josh. Too funny!! Then Uncle Allen and Aunt Cindy came down for lunch before driving Cecily up to Pasadena to stay with Grandma and Papa. OC Fair 07-23-14

Cecily invited Grandma to come down and go to the OC Fair with us. It was hot, but Cecily enjoyed eating a turkey leg, watching the pig races and the cow milking, riding the Sky Ride and Ferris Wheel, and seeing all the farm animals. http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8UbNGrdw3Vrhg

Legoland 07-22-14

To continue their fun week, Caren took Cecily down to Legoland for the day. They saw the Clutch Powers and Fun Town Fire Fighter shows, and they rode the Bionnicle Blaster, Kid Power Tower, and the Fairy Tale Brook Boat. They checked out the Lego Movie Experience and took their pictures with Emmit and Wild Style. Then Cecily got to do something she had never done before at Legoland, Lego Mindstorms where she got to program a Lego robot. Beach Day 07-21-14

Since the cousins left, we wanted to do something fun so we headed to the beach at Davenport Island with some friends. Cecily had a blast in the water and was excited to see a little sting ray. Cousins 07-20-14

Cecily was excited to see her Phoenix cousins for the weekend. We walked to Rita's, the kids played, and the girls painted (since Cecily is now obsessed with painting). American Girl 07-17-14

We headed up to the Grove with some friends to catch the premiere of the new American Girl girl of the year movie, Isabelle. Leaving after lunch, we got to the store to shop around and get Cecily's doll's hair done at the Doll Salon. As we went into the American Girl store, Ali Landry was heading out with her daughter. Once the doll's hair was done and we finished up our shopping, we checked in for the movie to get our wristbands then headed to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. After dinner, the girls got to dance and do special crafts as well as enjoy special Sprinkles cupcakes. Then it was finally time for the movie. It was a cute movie, and Cecily had a lot of fun. Painting with Timree 07-14-14

Cecily's Girl Scout Troop had planned a fun summer painting activity at a Newport Beach art studio. Only three girls from her troop went (Cecily, Scarlett, and Nicolette), but they were joined by Olivia as well as a few other girls from another Girl Scout Troop (Allie and Ashley). The girls got to paint a cute beach scene with a surfboard, beach cruiser, and the Huntington Beach Pier. Cecily LOVED painting her picture. Emma's Birthday Party 07-13-14

Girl Scout Camp 07-11-14

The day after we got back from our trip, Cecily started her first Girl Scout Camp in Huntington Beach. Her friends Sophia, Allie, Emma, Alexsia, Paige, and Kayla were also at Girl Scout Camp. The girls had a fun week making crafts, learning songs, and putting on short skits at camp. On Tuesday, Cecily signed up for the Summer Reading Program through the city library, and on Wednesday, we had an impromptu neighbor pool party/bbq. Friday was the last day of camp where they put on their skits for the parents. It also happened to be free slurpee day at 7-11 and free food day at Chick Fil A, so Cecily and Paige loved ending the week with yummy food. http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=8UbNGrdw3VqtA
