Our playgroup had a Happy Hour at Dawn's house with the moms and kids. The kids had a blast playing in the backyard with the balls, slide, playhouse, and kiddie pool while the moms ate appetizers and had some cocktails.

Cameron's Birthday Party 06-22-08
We helped Natalie, a MOMS Club friend, celebrate her son's 2nd birthday today. It was hot, but Cecily had fun with Kayla at Cameron's birthday party.

Moms Slumber Party 06-20-08
Caren's playgroup moms had another of their slumber parties last night to say goodbye to 3 of their friends. Randi moved to San Diego, Keri moved to Manhattan Beach, and Erin will be moving back to Philadelphia. They enjoyed yummy potluck appetizers and desserts with lots of pizza and champagne.

Last Ballet Class 06-17-08
Cecily had her last ballet class today. She loved the "Vinko the Dancing Bear" dance she learned, and she enjoyed having Miss Kim as her teacher again. Hopefully, we'll sign her up for more ballet in the fall or next spring.

Disney Day 06-16-08
We took a last minute trip to Disneyland and California Adventure today after school with Gina, Kayla, and Sean. It was so hot and crowded, but we stuck to watching shows and tried to avoid long lines. The kids had so much fun, including baby Sean!

Happy Father's Day 06-15-08
Happy Father's Day! We had a lovely English breakfast with tea and scones at the Sussex Tea Room this morning to celebrate (really, it's what Richard wanted!). Then we went to Gibbs Park with two other families so the kids could play. Cecily enjoyed playing with Tomi, Jack, John, and Jack. We hope PaPa, Great-Grandpa, Grandpa Otto, Great-Grandpa Harold, and Uncle Doug had a wonderful Father's Day as well.

Father's Day Picnic 06-13-08
Carden Preschool invited the dads to have a picnic with their kids today. Richard went and had a lovely lunch with Cecily out on the grass. The teachers had bought a cake to help celebrate, but they forgot to serve it to the dads. Oops! After school, we took Cecily to Peter Green Park to play with her friends. Cecily, John, and Kayla all helped baby Sean practice walking.

Playgroup Father's Day 06-11-08
D is for Daddy. We had our playgroup Father's Day potluck today, and the kids got to decorate sugar cookies with frosting and sprinkles. Then they all took part in a Father's Day photo shoot to make a special gift for their daddies using Lego letters to spell out D A D D Y.

Dental Visit 06-10-08
Cecily had her very first dental cleaning today with Dr. Hamilton. She was such a big girl and went into the room all by herself. The doctor said she did great while he polished her teeth and gave her another sealant. Then she was allowed to pick a treasure from the treasure box.

Disney Day 06-09-08
We won a chance to preview the new Toy Story Mania ride at California Adventure. Cecily didn't really like the bumpiness of it, but overall, she liked the ride. We passed off our tickets to her friend Bronson, his mom, and his Grandma so they could ride too. Then we spent the rest of the afternoon and evening enjoying California Adventure and Disneyland.

Cecily had a fabulous time at Paige's Charlie & Lola themed 4th birthday party today. They colored, stamped, played, and ate pink cupcakes. After the party, Cecily watched her own Charlie & Lola marathon on TV.

We celebrated Bronson's 4th birthday today at his pirate treasure themed party at Peter Green Park. The kids enjoyed digging in the sand to find treasure and being pirates.

Carden Conservatory had their end of the school year Spring Program today. Cecily's preschool class performed "It's A Small World," and all the kids dressed up in outfits from different countries.

Jack & Trent's Birthday 06-04-08
Our playgroup celebrated the 2nd birthdays of Jack and Trent today with pizza, cupcakes, and bouncing on the trampoline.

Happy Birthday PaPa! We helped PaPa celebrate his birthday early last weekend on 05-31-08. Uncle Allen cooked a delicious Korean BBQ dinner for us. Cecily liked helping PaPa blow out the candles on his birthday cake.

After a morning at Chuck E. Cheese celebrating Ella's birthday, Cecily helped Jack celerbate his 2nd birthday at his Hawaiin themed party. The kids bounced in the trampoline, played dress-up, and had lots of fun just running around.

Cecily helped her friend Ella from school celebrate her 4th birthday at Chuck E. Cheese. She had fun playing games and riding the rides with her other friend from school, Laira.
