Disney Day 04-28-09

After school, we met our friends at Disneyland for the afternoon. We rode Monsters Inc, Flik's Flyers, Small World, Casey Jr. Circus Train, Finding Nemo Submarines, and Buzz Lightyear. The kids enjoyed an ice cream treat (Cecily opted for cotton candy, which she also later shared with her friends after dinner), and we ate a yummy dinner at Rancho Del Zocola.

Happy Birthday Cecily 04-19-09

Happy 5th birthday Cecily!!!
We can't believe it's been 5 years.
We had a fun birthday party yesterday and today went to Disneyland to celebrate!
The first thing Cecily wanted to do was get tortillas, so we went to the Tortilla Factory. But it was the corn tortillas that she didn't like (we did go back later in the afternoon, and she got her flour tortillas that she loves). Then we headed over to the new Celebration Round-Up BBQ at the Big Thunder Ranch. Cecily enjoyed seeing Jessie, Woody, Bullseye, Chip, and Dale, watching the hoedown show, and eating yummy BBQ ribs. Cecily's last few birthdays have been rainy and cold, so we couldn't believe how hot it was!! After lunch, Cecily visited Minnie and Mickey at their houses before we headed over to California Adventure to watch the Aladdin show and rest in the nice, air conditioned theater. When the show was over, Richard gave Cecily the option of staying at Disneyland or going home to go swimming, and she chose to go swimming. It was a great way to end the day.

Cecily's 5th Birthday Party 04-18-09

To celebrate Cecily's 5th birthday, we had a Mad Hatter Tea Party at Pattinson Park. Her friends from playgroup and school came as well as some of Caren's friends (Michelle, Suzanne, and Greg). The kids had so much fun playing tea party, running around the playground, hitting the tea pot pinata, and eating crazy cupcakes that Richard made. Cecily was so excited that all her friends were there to help her celebrate turning 5!

Easter 04-12-09

Happy Easter! We had a delicious brunch with a fabulous Hawaiin show at Don the Beachcomber in Sunset Beach with Papa, Grandma, Uncle Allen, and Aunt Cindy. Then we came back to our house so Cecily and Cindy could dye Easter eggs and do an egg hunt. Cecily had a really fun Easter, but now she can't wait for her birthday in one week!

Cooper's Birthday Party 04-11-09

We helped Cooper celebrate his very first birthday today at his house. Cecily played with Charlotte and Cooper while we snacked. Then we sang happy birthday to Cooper and ate cake. Cecily got to help Cooper open his birthday presents, which Charlotte really enjoyed playing with.

Fire Station Visit 04-03-09

We visited the Huntington Beach Fire Station on Edwards Hill with Cecily's playgroup friends. The firefighters gave us a tour of the station and showed the kids the fire engines. The kids got fire hats, lots of honorary firefighter stickers, a coloring book, and a dalmation pencil. They had a great time.

Ballet 04-02-09

Cecily started her very first ballet class without Mommy. She had previously done 3 sessions of Mommy & Me Ballet with Miss Kim. She was so excited to see Miss Kim again. She had been asking to go back to ballet, and Miss Kim said she did really well in the class. Maybe she'll even do the recital this year!
